The individual is charged with drug offenses.
A Thurmont man was arrested Tuesday morning in Baltimore County on an outstanding warrant. Andrew Caraker, 49, is charged with several drug offenses, including possession of drug paraphernalia to indicate distribution and maintaining a common nuisance.
Police in Thurmont say Caraker was the tenant of an apartment at 10 West Main Street. On September 6th, 2012, officers noticed two individuals entering the unit through a window and began an investigation. Those two persons were detained inside the apartment.
But when officers were inside, they noticed numerous syringes and drugs in plain view. They obtained a search and seizure warrant, and confiscated drug paraphernalia, and suspected heroin powder. The tenant was notified about the search, according to police.
A warrant was issued for Caraker on January 24th, 2013. He was served with the warrant on Tuesday at 5:30 AM after he was arrested by Baltimore County Police Officers.
