The family of a missing local woman spoke out Friday during a press conference at the Frederick County Law Enforcement Building. "It was a normal day. She had her errands to run in Frederick. We were expecting her to come home. Nothing we felt was out of the ordinary," said Shawna Lentz, the daughter of 49 year old Teresa Lentz, who did not return home Wednesday after leaving to run some errands. "I see her everyday in my life. She is my rock. I don't know what I will do without her. I'm devastated that she's gone and I would like for her to come home," said John Lentz,III.
Lentz's SUV was found along Reels Mill Road at around 9:45 p.m. Wednesday evening. Deputies searched the area near her vehicle, but didn't find her. "Investigators have received dozens of tips," said Sgt. Jennifer Bailey. "Tips from individuals, citizens who may have seen Mrs. Lentz running errands in Frederick, or who may have seen her vehicle parked along the roadway. We are following up on leads as they come in, and we are continuing to ask for support from the community. We're asking citizens to call the Sheriff's office. It doesn't matter how small it is. Even if you saw her sitting at a traffic light. That information can help investigators develop a timeline," continued Bailey.
Lentz is described as 5'6, 165 pounds, with brown, shoulder length hair, and hazel eyes. She also wears glasses.
If you have any information on her whereabouts call 301-600-1046.
