Michael Olhman is a catcher for the Keys.
Michael Olhman has been named Carolina League Player of the Week for June 17th through June 23rd. Olhman is a catcher with the Frederick Keys.
The team says Olhman drove in five hits and four runs over the weekend in the Keys' first series since the All Star Break. The Keys say Olhman went 5-for-10 in three games against Myrtle Beach, recording a pair of triples on Friday, homering on Saturday and going 2-for-3 with an RBI on Sunday. He scored five runs, walked twice and had an on-base percentage of .615 and OPS of 1,200 in the series.
He came off the disabled list on May 23rd, and the Keys say he's been the team's most productive hitter.
For the season, the team says, Olhman is batting .300 with 25 runs, eight doubles, four triples, five homers, 18 RBI's, 26 walks, an on-base average of .418 and a slugging percentage of .538.
Olhman was a 2009 draft pick of the Baltimore Orioles, and is in his fifth year a professional baseball player.
