The Frederick Arts Council (FAC) is sponsoring the 7th annual "Art in the Park Night" at Harry Grove Stadium. On Friday, August 23, 2013, the Frederick Arts Council will be helping the Frederick Keys celebrate 25 years in Frederick as they take on the Wilmington Blue Rocks
at 7:00 p.m. at the "Tim Kurkjian Bobblehead Night" home game with fireworks.
Gates open at 6:00 p.m.
The Frederick Keys will wear a jersey designed by Rebecca Cool that will be auctioned off with proceeds benefiting the Frederick Arts Council as it furthers it's mission.
Fans don't need to look just to the field to understand all that Frederick has to offer that is arts related. Harry Grove Stadium will be filled with Plein Air Artists, Stitchers and various marketing booths including Frederick County's local arts organizations. Once again, the Frederick Keys will be joining to increase cultural awareness by painting baseballs that will be auctioned off via a silent auction that will take place during the game. Music will be provided pre-game by the Walkersville High School Band. The national anthem will be sung by Laura Whittenberger.
Representing the Frederick Arts Council in the first pitch ceremony will be jersey design
winner Rebecca Cool, and 13-year-old Chad Moreland.
Officials will also be collecting donations during Art in The Park Night to help the
United Way "Stuff the Bus" with art supplies!
