Suspect Arrested On Drug Offenses Following Traffic Stop

Police say he had marijuana on his person.

 

An  Abdingdon, Maryland man was charged with drug offenses after a traffic stop on Friday afternoon in Frederick.

Police say an officer pulled Ross Dominick Catron, 18, at Catoctin Drive and Carrollton Drive for failing to stop at a stop sign. The cop detected an odor of marijuana coming from the vehicle, and began a search.  Plastic bags containing suspected pot were found in Catron's pocket, and a digital scale and smoking pipe were located inside the vehicle.

Catron was charged with possession of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia and possession with intent to distribute.

He was taken to Central Booking for processing.
