The Carroll County Sheriff’s Office is investigating what appears to be a series of daytime, residential burglaries having occurred in several east Carroll neighborhoods during the past two weeks. While one of the burglaries occurred just east of Westminster, the remaining six span Carroll’s border with Baltimore County, reaching from northern Eldersburg to southern Manchester. Suspects have entered the homes through unlocked doors and windows, removing more than $40,000 in cash, jewelry, electronics, firearms and other valuables.
Residents are reminded to close and lock all doors and windows before leaving home, reporting all suspicious persons or vehicles to their local law enforcement agency.
