A Gettysburg doctor has donated $1 million to help the renovation of a historic dormitory into a Civil War Museum.

A Gettysburg doctor has donated $1 million to help the renovation of a historic dormitory into a Civil War Museum.

According to the Evening Sun, Dr. Brad Hoch donated the money on behalf of Charles Glatfelter, his favorite historian, to feature exhibits on the battle of Gettysburg's first day like the hall of the hospital and the debate over slavery.

The project is expected to be completed by spring of next year.
