They're charged with stealing auto parts.
Frederick Police have arrested two suspects in a burglary earlier this month. Christopher Dutton, 20, and Ciante Dutton,43, have been charged with theft over $1,000, attempted theft under $1,000, 4th-degree burglary and malicious destruction of property under $500.
Both men are Frederick residents.
Authorities says the two are suspected of stealing used car rims and wheels from Best Used Auto Parts during the early morning hours of April 2nd. They were loading the items into a van parked at Bopat Electric at 305 East 4th Street, which is next to Best Used Auto Parts.
They fled the scene on foot when Bopat employees arrived for work, but they left behind their van. Police say the van was rented from U-Haul by one of the suspects.
Authorities say based on evidence recovered at the scene, and an admission by one of the suspects, warrants were obtained charging these two men with the theft at Best Used Auto Parts.
