In response to the anticipated traffic congestion and possible public safety concerns as a result of the G8 Summit planned for Friday, May 18 and Saturday, May 19 at Camp David in Thurmont, Celebrate Frederick has cancelled the Beyond the Garden Gates Garden Tour for Saturday, May 19. In a press release, officials said the tour will be held Sunday, May 20 with extended hours of 11 AM - 6 PM.
The Beyond the Garden Gates Garden Tour is a self-guided tour featuring twelve of Frederick’s finest private gardens, ranging from cozy backyard retreats to formal spaces filled with elegant charm.
Tickets for the tour are available for purchase online at www.celebratefrederick.com , or at the following retail locations: Colonial Jewelers, 1 S. Market Street, Flights of Fancy, 20 N. East Street or the Frederick Visitors Center, 151 S. East Street. Tickets are $20 in advance or $25 the day of the tour. The tour will be held rain or shine.
Anyone who has already purchased a Beyond The Garden Gates Garden Tour ticket and is unable to attend the tour on Sunday should contact Celebrate Frederick at 301-600-2844.
