A 35-year-old female inmate incarcerated at the Washington County Detention Center was found hanging in her cell Wednesday morning.  Employees found Crystal Rosenberger of Moorefield, West Virginia at around 11:23 AM, hanging from bedsheets tied to a bunk.

They cut her down, and provided first aid until medical personnel arrived. Rosenberger was taken to Meritus Medical Center where she is in the Intensive Care Unit.

Detention Center officials say they checked on Rosenberger around 11:00 AM, and she seemed fine. Her fellow inmates were talking to her 10-minutes before she was found hanging.

Rosenberger is being held on $40,000 bond for writing a bad check. She is also wanted in Baltimore County for motor vehicle theft, theft less than $100 and theft of $500 and more.
