The parade will start at corner of East Patrick and Carroll Streets then head west on Patrick Street.
The Kris Kringle procession will be marching through the downtown Frederick area on Friday, December 9th.
Starting at 6:30 p.m., children from local schools, dance troops and boy and girl scouts will dress as holiday themed characters to walk along side with Frosty the Snowman, Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer, other modern day and heritage based figures.
After the procession, a closing ceremony will be held at the band shell in baker park where the official lighting of the Christmas tree will take place, a special message from Kris Kringle will be said and holiday greeting carols will be sung.
