No one was injured.
Two garages in Urbana were destroyed by fire Monday night.
Frederick County Fire and Rescue says personnel were dispatched at around 10:45 PM to the 3700 block of Singleton Terrace in the Villages of Urbana. Additional units were sent to a nearby garage fire in the 3900 block of Addison Woods Road, also in the Villages of Urbana. The flames were under control by 11:30 PM. There were no injuries.
Fire investigators were called to the scene, and worked throughout the night determine a cause and origin of the two fires. Damage from the garage on Singleton Terrace is estimated at $50,000, and damage to the one on Addison Woods Road is estimated at $80,000.
In addition to the fires, investigators learned that there were several other acts of vandalism in the Villages of Urbana, including damage to signs owned by the Homeowners Association.
