A Huntingdon, Pennsylvania man was killed in a multi-vehicle crash on Interstate 81 North of Maugansville Road in Washington County on Monday afternoon. Maryland State Police say Leroy Corbin was pronounced dead at the scene.

Corbin was the operator of a Toyota Avalon which was struck by a tractor trailer operated by Benson Lewis of Dallas, Texas. Troopers say Lewis was traveling south on I-81 when his truck crossed the center of the median and entered the northbound lanes, hitting Corbin's vehicle.

A Ford F-150 operated by Mark Siegest of Fayetteville, Pennsylvania was also struck by Lewis' tractor trailer. Siegest refused medical treatment.

In addition, a Saturn Vue operated by Shelly Jason of Hagerstown was also hit. Jason was taken to Meritus Medical Center with non-life threatening injuries.

A woman who was a passenger in the tractor trailer, Tammye Lewis, was also taken to Meritus Medical Center with non-life threatening injuries.

State Police closed I-81 for several hours as the crash was being investigated. The investigation was initially handled by TFC David Thompson with the Hagerstown Barrack. It was turned over to the State Police CRASH Team.
