He was responsible for three robberies in August, 2011.
Sentence was handed down on Tuesday for a man responsible for three armed robberies in Frederick. Vaughn Davis, 43, was given 60 years in the State Division of Correction, with all but 36 years suspended.
Previously, Davis pleaded guilty to robbing the 7-11 at 1042 West Patrick Street on August 8th, the Sunoco gas station at 1200 West Patrick Street on August 13th, and the Rite Aid Pharmacy at 1000 Key Parkway on August 20th.
In a statement, the Frederick Police Department gives credit to Detectives Gene Alston and Mike Morgan and Officer Andrew Alcorn for their efforts in securing an arrest and conviction. It also gives credit to Assistant State's Attorney Kirsten Brown for her work in getting a "meaningful sentence" for Davis, whom the department describes as a "serial robber."
