A winter weather advisory is in effect for our area from 10 am this morning until 8 pm this evening.

The National Weather Service said the region could receive between 1 to 3 inches of snow today with higher amounts over the Eastern Panhandle of West Virginia and Western and North-Central Maryland. Forecasters say light snow will start to fall around 9 am and be steady thru the evening hours.

A winter weather advisory for snow means that periods of snow will cause travel difficulties. Motorists should be prepared for snow covered roads and limited visibility.
