It happened Saturday near the C. Burr Artz Library.
Frederick Police are looking for several youths who assaulted a man Saturday night, and robbed him of his cell phone.
The victim told officers he was walking in the area of the C. Burr Artz Library when six to eight juveniles approached him. They kicked and punched the victim, took his phone, and ran off.
The man went to a nearby fire station and was then transported to Frederick Memorial Hospital for treatment of minor injuries. A search of the area by police officers found no sign of the youths.
The victim told authorities his assailants were African-American males, but he could provide no other details.
