Activities during the week will occur throughout the mall.

Ag Week will begin Monday evening at the Francis Scott Key Mall.

Agricultural organizations, as well as producers, 4-H clubs and others are invited to take part. "Beginning at 6:00 p.m. you can enter the homemade cakes and pies contest," said Ron Murphy, spokesman. And then Tuesday evening there will be an old fashioned ice cream cranking contest. We use the old time freezers and people bring in their recipes and whip them up, and we have judges, and we award prizes," continued Murphy.

On Wednesday evening, the Frederick County Young Farmers will be leading the activities for the young and old, from 6:00 pm to 8 p.m. "They do a lot of activities all over the state, and they all have the same interest."

The week long observance will end on Saturday with 4-H members displaying their entomology projects and the Frederick County Sheep Breeders giving demonstrations.
