The Saint Patrick’s Day Run For Your Luck 5k Run/Walk, is open to all, on Saturday, March 17, 2012, in the City Center of Hagerstown. Sponsored by the Washington County Recreation and Fitness Department, the City of Hagerstown, and the Washington County Community Free Clinic, this event is a great opportunity to celebrate Saint Patrick’s Day in honor of a good cause as proceeds will benefit the Community Free Clinic of Washington County, in honor of Dr. Dan McDougal.
The Run
The 5k run is on a 3.1 mile loop course starting at North Potomac and Washington Street (City Center Square), and ending at South Potomac Street and Antietam Street.
Race Day registration/packet pick-up is from 8:30 a.m. - 9: 45 a.m., and the race begins at 10:00 a.m. The course will be closed to traffic from 8:50 a.m. until the end of the race. Course maps will be available online and in runner’s packets.
The Walk
The start for the one-mile Walk Course will also be at Hagerstown City Center Square. Walkers should move to the rear of the start pack.
Awards will be presented to overall male and female champions as well as each male and female age group winner. The Awards Ceremony will begin at the conclusion of the race, approximately 11:00 a.m., in the Maryland Theater.
Registration
The registration fee is $25 for registrations received before race day and $30 on the day of the race. Please make checks payable to the Washington County Treasurer.
The first 400 registrants are guaranteed a t-shirt. Please indicate t-shirt size on the registration form.
