Carl Boltz will be sentenced on May 15th.
Carl Boltz, the Westminster man who admitted to embezzling up to $100,000 from the Walkersville Volunteer Rescue Company, was in Frederick County Circuit Court Wednesday.
"He pleaded guilty to theft," said Charles Smith, States Attorney.
"He will be sentenced on May 15th, to 15 years, with all but 6 months suspended. He will also have to pay restitution in the amount of $100,000, be placed on five years of supervised probation when he gets out of jail, and do 100 hours of community service. I'm really glad to get this case behind me, and those people over their at the Walkersville Rescue Company, this debilitated them. People think they can get away with this, like it's a personal loan, and they can just pay it back. But you will be prosecuted and you will go to jail," continued Smith.
