They were taken early Thurs. morning.

Two John Deere mowers were stolen from a Washington County business Thursday morning.

State Police say troopers were dispatched to an alarm activation at Smith's Implements, Incorporated at 13115 Cearfoss Pike shortly before 3:00 AM. They noticed the rear gate's locks had been cut, and the two Zero-Turn John Deere mowers had been taken. They're  valued at $29,000.

Troopers say it's likely the individuals used a flatbed trailer to steal the mowers.

Anyone with information on this incident is asked to call Senior Trooper Ardinger at the State Police barrack in Hagerstown at 301-739-2102.
