Its in response to the Hazardous Weather Outlook.
Frederick County officials have issued a burning ban to go into effect immediately until further notice.
Fire officials issued the ban as a result of the hazardous weather outlook. According to the National Weather Service the combination of gusty winds, low relative humidity, and low fuel moisture will enhance the threat for the spread of wildfires. The ban applies to all outdoor ignition sources, which includes campfires, bonfires, fireworks, leaf, brush, grass and trash burning, as well as other similar open incineration. The ban does not affect the use of gas grills.
