It's taking place on Saturday, April 14th.
On Saturday, April 14th, families, teams and the Frederick community will unite, at Harry Grove Stadium, with one goal in mind, to do whatever it takes to stop the devastating effects of multiple sclerosis.
The annual walk will begin at 10:00a.m., with registration starting at 9:00 a.m. "It's just a very exciting gathering. There's people there like my mom, who has multiple sclerosis," said Sara Reynolds. I can't remember a time when my mom didn't have it. She was diagnosed when I was just 2 years old." Breakfast will be served, and after the 5K walk lunch will also be provided.
MS is a chronic, often disabling disease that attacks the central nervous system. 10,000 Marylanders, 400,000 Americans and 2.5 million people worldwide live with the disease.
"We are looking for individuals with fresh ideas and unique perspectives to contribute to the walk. Responsibilities include: assisting with brochure distribution, approaching local businesses for in-kind product donations and sponsorship dollars, and helping promote Walk MS," continued Reynolds. If you are interested in joining the committee, please contact Melissa Ward at 443-641-1227 or email melissa.ward@nmss.org.
