The Frederick Keys are about to be in full swing again when they host their season opener on Friday, April 6th.

The Frederick Keys are about to be in full swing again when they host their season opener on Friday, April 6th.

Keys Assistant General Manager, Adam Pohl, said there are many different theme nights to look forward to including a few with special appearances from professional athletes such as former Washington Redskins player, Brian Mitchell.

"Lavar Arrington will be here at a Keys game on April 27th on our Football Night. We are going to have the wrestler, Jim Duggan here on July 27th," Pohl said.

They will also welcome a Washington Capitals Hockey player during their second home game.

"We are going to be having a hockey day. We are going to be have the greatest Washington Captial other than Alex Ovechkin here in the ball park, Rod Langway, signing autographs and a few different packages fans do to be apart of that. Two dollars off as well if you wear a hockey jersey to the game," Pohl said.

Other Keys events include a cowboy monkey rodeo, Disney night with a special appearance by Buzz Lightyear and zoo night where Keyote will throw out the opening pitch on a camel. Twenty-two games will end with fireworks after the final out.

The Keys are also more fan-friendly with the introduction of their gluten-free menu and special Peanut Free Night for those with allergies.
