A Frostburg man has been sentenced to 14 years in prison for carjacking his 71-year-old neighbor.

The Herald-Mail reported that 31 year old Jonathan Bittner, apologized in court Tuesday for hurting his neighbor and to his own family. The victim told police Bittner entered his home early April 28th and struck him on the face and head while demanding cash. Police said Bittner then forced the man into the victim’s car, got behind the wheel and crashed it on Interstate 68. They said Bittner fled, leaving the victim to drive his disabled car to a Cumberland exit. The victim was found by a passer-by, bleeding and dressed only in his underwear and a T-shirt.
