A Frederick man was arrested on Friday afternoon for pan handling. Steven Ray Stone, 50, was picked up in the 300 block of North Market Street.

Police say two officers working a plain clothes detail in the area observed the suspect talk with another man, who gave him some money. The cops approached and were told by the victim that Stone asked for some cash, and he gave him some change.

Stone was taken into custody, charged with accosting and begging from a person in a public place.
