Synthetic marijuana was stolen.

Thurmont Police are investigating a break-in at the Liberty Gas Station on North Church Street......where the suspect or suspects got away with packs of Potpourri Incense, known as synthetic marijuana.

An officer responded to the business on Tuesday morning, and noticed the glass door had been smashed. The individual or individuals entered through the door and stole 300 packs of the stuff.....which sells for about $35 to $55 each. Police say the substance is not for human consumption, but it's sought by persons who inhale the vapors to get a high similar to smoking pot. These products are legal, but they have produced dangerous affects to people who have inhaled them.

Anyone who has information on this incident is asked to call Thurmont Police.
