Berkeley County Sheriff's Office reported to a single engine plane crash Thursday afternoon.

Around 3:30 p.m., Deputies and emergency personnel arrived to National Fruit Road and found the aircraft flipped over. They talked to the pilot and discovered there were mechanical issues with the plane and wasn't able to make it back to the airport.

Emergency personnel treated the pilot on the scene and he was released.
