It's too soon to say if the Maryland National Guard will be called in to assist.
Preparations are continuing in the town of Thurmont for the G8 Summit, at Camp David, coming up next month.
Global leders, and possibly demonstrators will converge on the town May 18th and 19th.
Officials say it's too soon to say how many protestors will be in the area, but Thurmont Police Chief Gregory Eyler says if you see anything suspicious, he's asking citizens to report it. "It doesn't matter what it looks like. Even if you see an abandoned vehicle, call it in. We just want to check it out and make sure it's okay," said Eyler.
He said he is not sure whether or not the Maryland National Guard will be called in to assist.
