Unattended Grill Cause Of House Fire In Myersville

Damage is estimated at $275,000.

A house fire at 9521 Harmony Road, in Myersville, Tuesday night, has been ruled accidental.

Fire investigators determined that the cause of the blaze resulted from an unattended charcoal grill on the back of the deck.

When firefighters arrived on the scene they found heavy fire shooting from the two story house, which had extended inside the walls of the home. It took firefighters almost an hour to completely extinguish the blaze. Fortunately there were no injuries.

Damage is estimated at $275,000.
