On Friday, April 27, Middletown Middle School got a special afternoon treat. A $10,000 check from the Henkel Helps Get Kids Fit program.
The school was the winner in a contest in which they had to answer the question: What would their school do with $10,000 to improve youth fitness? School officials said the prize money will go towards replacing the school's 60 year old track, which is used by students, as well as many members of the community.
Middletown Middle School was selected as the winner by the public through online and text voting.
Henkel Helps Get Kids Fit gave three deserving schools the chance to win their share of $30,000 to improve youth fitness for their school.
