A 23 year old man is locked up after he stabbed his mother.

The Carroll County Sheriff's Office said Eric Liem stabbed 52 year old Suzanne Liem multiple times in her back and chest, last night at their home, in the 500 block of Goldenrod Terrace, following an escalating disagreement between the two.

The victim was flown to Shock Trauma in Baltimore where she remains in critical but stable condition. Her son is being held at the Carroll County Detention Center on $250,000 bail, after being charged with 1st & 2nd degree assault and reckless endangerment. Authorities said additional charges are pending.
