A Baltimore man is charged with forgery after he attempted to cash a check that looked like it was issued by Trout's Market and drawn on Woodsboro Bank.

Authorities said even though the check was a close replica, it was determined to be a countefet document. Michael Hicks, 51, was taken into custody on Monday as soon as he left the bank, police said.
