The City of Frederick has closed all sports fields today due to the rain, wet fields and standing water. 

When all city fields are closed due to the weather, that also includes city leased fields and City leased school sports fields.  No one is permitted to the use the fields when they are closed.

Officials say violators could be fined, or suffer the loss of the use of a sports field or courts.  A citation or a warning could be issued to unpermitted individuals using a closed sports field.
