Some state lawmakers call it the doomsday budget while others call it the living within your means budget; a special session will begin on Monday to complete work on the budget that left the state with $512 million in cuts when the General Assembly adjourned last month.

Delegate Kelly Schultz is not happy about going back to Annapolis.

"This is not a dooms-day budget. This budget increased our budget from last year by $700 million. The reason they're calling it a dooms-day budget is because they had prioritized incorrectly of where they wanted the funds to go in the budget that was passed," Delegate Schultz said.

The cuts put in place would mainly affect education and public services. The income tax package that failed to pass will also discussed beginning on Monday.
