He was apprehended Friday morning.
An Eldersburg man was arrested in Frederick County Friday morning following a burglary. Andrew Joseph Reier, 25, is charged with motor vehicle theft, burglary and theft under $1000.
The Bureau of Investigation and Sheriff's Deputies responded to the 16800 block of Bullfrog Road in Taneytown for a burglary and vehicle theft. Upon their arrival, they were told that the suspect fled on foot.
A perimeter was established, and the Sheriff's Office Canine Unit and the State Police helicopter assisted in the search. Reier was quickly located in a farm field 100-yards off of Harney Road.
Authorities say Reier had gone to the property on Bullfrog Road to steal copper cable, and was using the victim's vehicle to drive away with the stolen goods.
The investigation by Detective Christopher Smith is continuing.
