The Thurmont Regional Library is preparing to make the G-8 Summit a memorable event for both kids and adults by covering their foyer in stars. Erin Dingle with the libary said the goal is to cover it with hundreds of stars.
"We are welcoming people in. We have a display of the flags from the eight nations and we are asking kids and adults to put their name on a star. We have a banner up to welcome the G-8 summit leaders," Dingle said.
She said this is a symbol of goodwill and support. The library will be open its regular hours this weekend.
