The City of Frederick says all of its softball and baseball fields only are closed this afternoon (Tues) due to wet fields and standing water. Officials say that includes city leased fields and city school leased fields.

Anyone caught using the fields when they are closed could face penalties. If they are a permitted users, they could be fined or face the loss of the use of a field throughout the season.  An unpermitted user could be issued a warning or citation.
