Woman Turns Herself In For Home Invasion Robbery

Police are seeking a second suspect.

 

Frederick Police are looking for a second suspect involved in a home invasion robbery last month. The indivudal is an African-American male, with dreads, gray mask and a hood.

According to authorities, he and a woman entered a home in the 1300 block of North East Street early in the morning on April 10th. The male was armed with a shotgun, and struck the victim over the head with the weapon several times. A struggle took place, and the woman identified as Phylicia Rashad Barnes, 24, of Norwick Road in Frederick, got ahold of the shotgun. The victim was then struck in the head and the face. He was taken to University of Maryland Shock Trauma in Baltimore for facial fractures, lacerations on the bakck of his head and chin which needed stitches, bruising on  both eyes and his nose, and two broken bones.

The victim told police that he spent the evening of April 9th with a black female who went by the name of "Fee-Fee" or "Fay-Fay." She had left and a short time later came to the door with her male companion armed with the shotgun.

Barnes turned herself in to police on Monday. She is charged with armed robbery, robbery, 1st and 2nd-degree assault, 3rd-degree burglary, theft less than $1,000, reckless endangerment and conspiracy to commit all those offenses.
