A Frederick woman was indicted last week on 1st-degree child abuse resulting in death, and 1st-degree and 2nd-degree child abuse. Elizabeth O. Tramonte, 21, was arrested on Wednesday on a grand jury warrant, and is being held at the County Detention Center on $50,000 dollars bail.

The Frederick County Sheriff's Deputies responded to the 9400 block of Gas House Pike November 22nd for a three-month-old baby boy in cardiac arrest. The child, identified as Blake M. Tyrer Tramonte, was taken to Frederick Memorial Hospital where he was pronounced dead.

The Frederick County Bureau of Investigation responded to FMH following Blake's death.  Detectives  noticed the baby had injuries on his face and head.

The State Medical Examiner's Office conducted an autopsy and  determined that the cause of death for Blake was multiple injuries, and the manner of death was homicide.

The FCBI conducted many interviews, and determined that Blake's primary care provider was Elizabeth Tramonte. They say the baby was in her care when he was hurt, and that she caused the injuries.
