It has 80 gowns available, but hopes to get to 100.
TLC Bridal Boutique at 236A North Market Street in Frederick is participating in "Operation Bridal Gown" on July 10th. The initiative was started by "Brides Across America" to make sure that active duty military personnel or brides-to-be of service members are provided with a gown if they cannot afford one.
"I have a son-in-law who is active duty military," says TLC owner Terry Warfield, in a statement. "He has been deployed twice and will be up soon for number three, so my family understands the hardships and the sometimes desperate need to 'get everything in order' before they serve."
Warfield says 80 gowns are available. "I'm hoping my manufacturers will donate enough to bring me to an even 100," Warfield says.
Brides-to-be need to register for the one day of shopping by calling TLC at 301-662-8874, or going on line at www.tlcboutique.com. The deadline to apply is July 6th.
