Police in Hagerstown are looking for Karl McNutt, whose last known address was Virginia Avenue, after he ignited clothing on the front porch of a residence in an attempt to burn the home with an occupant inside.

Authorities said the incident happened Thursday and then McNutt contacted the occupants Friday and made a threat to harm them. Police say he was last seen wearing a blue striped shirt and khaki shorts. He's black, about 5-11, and weighs about 160 pounds.

McNutt is considered dangerous and police are asking anyone with information on his whereabouts to contact authorities immediately.
