Police say marijuana was found in his vehicle.
Traffic and drug charges have been filed against a Frederick man who was arrested Tuesday following a vehicle stop. Rubens Fontilus, 21, was apprehended in the 1800 block of Shookstown Road. An officer pulled him over because he was speeding, according to police.
The officer says he detected an odor of marijuana coming from the car and the driver. An amount of pot was located during a search of the vehicle.
Fontilus was transported to the Frederick County Adult Detention Center for processing. He's charged with speeding, driving on a suspended license, possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia.
