7-Eleven Store Robbed In Libertytown

The suspect pulled out an assault type rifle.

The search is continuing for the man who robbed the 7-Eleven store on Route 26, in Libertytown Thursday night.

Maryland State Police said the suspect entered the establishment and pulled out a gun, before getting away with an undetermined amount of cash.

"He is about six feet tall, and was wearing a gray shirt wrapped around his face," said Senior Trooper Christopher Plumadore.  "He also had on a long sleeve gray shirt that had a dark thick stripe going down each side of the arm," he said. 

In a press release it stated that after obtaining an unspecified amount of U.S. currency, the gunman, who had an assault type rifle, left the store and confronted a female in her vehicle and then a male outside of his vehicle in the 7/11 parking lot.  He force the male to the ground at gunpoint and then fled the area on foot.  The suspect fired two rounds from his weapon.  "One round was fired inside the store near the clerk and other outside the store near a customer," contined Plumadore.
