A man was seriously injuried this morning after a tractor trailer crash in Emmitsburg.

It happened around 1:30 a.m. in the ten thousand block of Taneytown Pike.

Police say the driver was trapped before being transported to the hospital.

The cause of the accident remains under investigation.

Parts of Route 140 in Emmitsburg are still closed.
