Police Make Arrest In Shots Fired Incident

The shooter and the victim knew each other.

Frederick Police have made an arrest in the shots fired incident that occurred in the area of Hope Circle on Monday.

When officers responded to the scene they were able to determine that a firearm had been discharged. An investigation revealed that the suspect and the victim knew each other and were playing basketball prior to the incident. No injuries were reported. Detectives, Thursday, arrested Derrick Goines, of the 200 block of Washington Street, and charged him with first and 2nd degree assault, and reckless endangerment.
