The National Weather Service has issued a severe thunderstorm watch for Frederick, Carroll, Montgomery, Howard, Allegany, and Washington Counties, in Maryland, until 9:00 p.m. tonight.

Weather officials say the storm could produce damaging wind gusts and large hail. Additionally, heavy rainfall could lead to flash flooding.
