Authorities say it involved about 60 people.

The investigation continues into a large fight which occurred early Tuesday morning in Frederick.

At around 12:56 AM, Sheriff's Deputies responded to the 7200 block of Black Creek Lane for a disturbance. Corporal Jennifer Bailey, a spokeswoman for the Sheriff's Office, says authorities found a large fight involving about 60 people, possibly more.

People and vehicles were seen leaving the area, and deputies set up a perimeter by blocking both entrances into the development.

Corporal Bailey says deputies found four male victims, ages 17, 18, 21 and 23, had suffered injuries. The 23-year-old man was physically assaulted, and the other three had stab or puncture wounds to the upper torso or back area.

The State Police Medivac helicopter flew the 17 and 18-year-olds to R. Adams Cowley Shock Trauma in Baltimore. The other two were transported by ambulance to Frederick Memorial Hospital. The 17-year-old remains at Shock Trauma for treatment. The other three were treated and released.

Corporal Bailey says authorities  are still trying to piece together all the details. "Investigators do believe it was a party. Again, more than 60 people in attendance, but how this altercation started, that's still unknown," she says.

No arrests have been made at this time. "As we normally do, we will conduct a thorough investigation and if charges are appropriate, they will be filed," says Corporal Bailey.

Anyone with information on this incident is asked to call the lead investigator, Detective Dan Romeril, at 301-600-3996.
