State Police Investigating Similar Armed Robberies

In both cases, the suspect demanded money and was armed with a rifle, which discharged.

State Police in Frederick are investigating two recent armed robberies that they believe were committed by the same man.

The first one happened around 10:30 p.m. on July 5th, when police say a man robbed the 7-11 on Main Street in Libertytown. The suspect is described as white, and was wearing a gray scarf tied around his face. The second robbery was on July 9th, shortly before 11:30 p.m. Police say it happened at the Blue Ridge Food Mart, in Washington Township, Pennsylvania.
