Two Thurmont women were arrested in Frederick on Tuesday for shoplifting with children.  Alicia Marie Hill, 28, and Malissa Hoult-Rorrest, 30, were apprehended as they were walking out of the K Mart store on West Patrick Street.

Police say that K Mart loss prevention officers saw the two women stealing merchandise from the store.  In addition, Mrs. Hill's children were also taking items from the K Mart.

Officers recovered the merchandise from Hill and Hoult-Forrest after they went outside of the store. They say Mrs. Hill had taken items which had a total value of more than $100, but less than $1,000.  Her children also had stolen items with them. The merchandise taken by Hoult-Forrest was valued at less than $100.

Hill is charged with conspiracy to commit theft, and two counts contributing to the delinquency of a minor. Hoult-Forrest is charged with theft less than $100 and conspiracy to commit theft.

The children were not charged due to their age. They were turned over to the custody of other family members.
