Frederick Police have charged a local man with theft under $100 and drug possession. Tyzaia D'Vonne Smith-Bracey, 22, was detained at the K Mart on West Patrick Street Sunday morning by loss prevention personnel,who said Smith-Bracey stole two shirts from the store.

An officer responded to the store shortly before 9:30 AM for a theft in progress.

As part of his arrest, police conducted a search of Smith-Bracey's person, and found a quantity of suspected cocaine.

He was taken Central Booking for processing.
